China Glaze Life Preserver

Today I have for you another favorite of mine from the China Glaze Anchors Away collection - Life Preserver. This polish is a bright poppy orange creme.

Here it is with a little Konad. I used plate M62 and Sally Hansen Color Quick polish pen in Gold Chrome. Reminds me of flames!

Life Preserver applied extremely well! This is 2 coats. In the bottle the polish looks like a burnt orange, but on the nails it is much more vibrant. I definitely don't have anything like this in my collection! A must have for all orange lovers!

Tropical Eye

I haven't posted a makeup look in forever, so I decided to post a fun one today! Also, it's good to switch it up every now and again. This eye was inspired by a tropical themed Betsey Johnson necklace I have.

Products used:
Primer and Base - Too Faced Shadow Insurance and NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow pencil in Milk
Inner Corner (purple) - L'Oreal HIP in Reckless
Lid (blue) - L'Oreal HIP in Showy
Crease (brown) - MAC Texture
Upper Liner (gold) - MAC Superslick Liquid eyeliner in Pure Show
Lower Liner - Benefit Bad Gal liner in black
Lashes - Benefit Bad Gal mascara in black

I rarely post eye looks anymore because I'm not sure if you all want to see them. So please let me know would you like to see more eye looks?

OPI Simply Smash-ing! + Crackle Glaze

Today I have for your Simply Smash-ing! from OPI's recent collaboration with Serena Williams. This polish is a lime green shimmer with a hint of gold to it. Very reminiscent of a tennis ball!

Application was great and this is 2 coats. This is a really bright and fun polish for the spring!

I wanted to add crackle, but instead of OPI's crackle I used China Glaze Cracked Concrete. I really like the gray crackle! It crackled a lot which is important because you can still see your base polish. Loves it!

Zoya Marley + Purple Sprinkles

Hello everyone!
Today I have for you Marley from Zoya's Intimate collection. Marley is a delicate lilac creme with a subtle pearl shimmer.

Application was interesting. The polish was a bit thick and every time I went to even out the polish it would drag the first layer off causing gross lumps. I eventually figured it out and got it to look decent. Very pretty color, but a pain to apply!

I then decided to add some pretty glitter! I used Purple Sprinkles from the Hello Kitty line at Sephora. I had been wanting to use this polish, but wanted to layer it on top of a pretty purple. As you can see Purple Sprinkles is a blueberry purple base loaded with tons of different shaped iridescent glitter. Very pretty!

Misa Touch the Rainbow + Crackle Glaze

Today I have for you Touch the Rainbow from Misa's recent Wishes collection. This polish is a gorgeous pale blue with a light blue shimmer.

Application was good. The formula is a bit thick though, but I can deal. This is 2 coats. The shimmer is much more noticeable in real life. It's so hard to capture! I'm really loving pale blues this spring and so far this is one of my favorites!

I decided to add some crackle, so I used one coat of China Glaze Black Mesh. I really like the contrast between the two colors!

OPI Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em

Today I have for you Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em from OPI's recent Texas collection. Since I live in Texas this collection is very dear to my heart! Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em is a hot pink jelly leaning almost red. It also has that wonderful sorbet finish, which I am loving!

The application on this was flawless. This is 2 coats. Also, this is really shiny on its own so you don't need a topcoat. I used one just to accelerate dry time. My favorite way to describe the sorbet polishes from this collection is JUICY! They are all so mouthwateringly juicy jelly sorbet goodness! Too Hot Pink to Hold 'Em is a great polish for spring and summer!

China Glaze Lighthouse

Today I have another great polish from the China Glaze Anchors Away collection - Lighthouse. This polish is a sparkly golden yellow.

Lighthouse on its own is very sheer, which I don't really care for, so I layered it over China Glaze Lemon Fizz - a pale yellow creme. Applying the polish this way really allowed the color to pop! I just love how it turned out. I would definitely say this is my favorite from the collection. Yellows are supposed to be very big this season, so this is a must have for everyone!

I then added some cute nail decals just for fun! These are by Crayola and I got them at Wal-Mart. I think I prefer Lighthouse on its own, but the stickers are cute anyway!

China Glaze Sunset Sail + White Cap

Today I have for you Sunset Sail from China Glaze's recent Anchors Away collection. This polish is a lovely peach nude creme with a very subtle silver shimmer.

Sunset Sail applied flawlessly! This is 2 coats and is completely opaque. Really a gorgeous nude polish!

I love China Glaze White Cap, but feel it's too sheer to wear alone so I've been layering it on top of other polishes. Here it is on top of Sunset Sail. I really like the way it looks. It adds a golden shimmer to it that is just lovely!

Misa Fountain of Youth + St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!! Hope everyone is wearing green ;-)
Today I have for you my St. Paddy's Day mani, but first let me tell you about the base polish I used.

Fountain of Youth is from Misa's recent Wishes collection (which is amazing by the way). This polish is a pale green with a gorgeous green pearl shimmer.

Application was good, the polish was a bit thick though. This is 2 coats. The shimmer is much more visible in person. If you click the photo you should be able to get a better view. Fountain of Youth is really a gorgeous polish and I have nothing like it in my collection.

And here is my St. Patrick's Day mani! I used China Glaze Four Leaf Clover (how perfect for today) as my tip color and stamp color. I used Bundle Monster plate BM03 for the shamrock image. Then I added the gold glitter with my Milani Nail Art precision brush in Art of Gold. Really simple, but still very festive!

Essie Sew Psyched

Since tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd post a lovely green polish today. Here is Sew Psyched by Essie. This polish is a nice dusty green with a slight pearl shimmer. This is perfect if you don't want anything too flashy for tomorrow!

Application was great! This is 2 coats, but looked opaque with just one coat. I love the slight shimmer! It makes it a very unique green and slightly more feminine.

Here is Sew Psyched with a little Konad! Thought it needed a little something extra. The image is from Bundle Monster plate BM04 and I stamped with a Sally Hansen Color Quick Pen in Turquoise Chrome.

Nicole by OPI My Lifesaver + Crackle Glaze

Today I have for you My Lifesaver from Nicole by OPI's recent Justin Bieber collection. I'm not really a fan of his, but just had to get this color! My Lifesaver is a light aqua creme.

As you can see My Lifesaver dries brighter than it appears in the bottle. Application was great and this is 2 coats. Really a fresh pretty color for spring!

I'm still working my way through my China Glaze crackle collection and decided to use one on this mani. I applied one coat of Fault Line to My Lifesaver. This actually crackled a lot better than I had thought! I heard this one wasn't very crackly, but I was quite pleased with how it came out.

Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips - Girl Flower

Time for a quick post! Today I have for you Sally Hansen Salon Effects Polish Strips in Girl Flower. These strips are a cute flower design made up of a variety of fun colors. Perfect for spring!

This is by far my favorite design from the collection. I just love how cute this is. These strips are so easy to apply and actually last! I like to wear them when I know I won't be able to do my nails for a while. These are perfect for vacations (spring break anyone?).

Also, if you haven't done so already, go check out my giveaway! A little less than a week left to enter.

Essie French Affair + Crackle Glaze

It finally feels like spring has sprung which means soft pretty nails! Today's mani is Essie French Affair from their recent spring collection. This polish is a soft pink creme with a hint of lavender to it. Very pretty for the season!

Application was great! I got full coverage after 2 coats. You all know I'm a sucker for pink cremes and this one is a new favorite! It's just so pretty and delicate! I love it!

I wanted to add some crackle to it, so I used one coat of China Glaze Broken Hearted. I really love this combo, very girly! When using crackle polishes I really like a strong contrast between the colors and I feel this has that. Pale pink and hot pink just works!

China Glaze Sea Spray + Milani Gems

Today I have for you one of my favorite polishes from the Anchors Away collection by China Glaze - Sea Spray! This polish is a dusty light blue with a very subtle shimmer.

Application of this polish was great! It applied so smoothly! Sea Spray is a gorgeous spring shade.

I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of Milani Gems and just had to try it out! This is one coat of Gems over Sea Spray. I love this polish! It's like a party in a bottle. Gems consists of a variety of different colored glitter in different sizes. So far I can see orange, blue, green, pink, silver, gold, red, and light blue glitter. Gems is a must have for everyone!

Orly Gilded Coral

Today I have for you a lovely color from Orly's Spring '11 collection - Gilded Coral. This polish is a shimmery peachy pink with flashes of gold.

This is such a pretty and delicate color! Application was good except it dried with some brush strokes. This color looks almost nude except for when the light hits it and it flashes gold. This is a great work appropriate polish and perfect for spring!
