OPI Katy Perry: Not Like The Movies

Today I am wearing the final polish from the Katy Perry Collection, Not Like The Movies. This color is very different. It's a silver base that flashes green and pinkish purple. There is also some tiny silver glitter floating around. I would say this is my favorite from the collection!

This polish has such an apparent duochrome that I could turn my nails one way and they would look completely green, then turn them the other and they were purple. It was fun moving my nails back and forth while saying, "Green, purple, green, purple" when each color flashed lol! The polish applied nicely and took 2 coats for my desired coverage.

Here it is with Black Shatter!

I bought a mini pack of the Katy Perry collection and will be doing a giveaway with it right after my current giveaway closes. So if you are loving these polishes stay on the look out for that!

OPI Katy Perry: Teenage Dream

Today's Katy Perry swatch is Teenage Dream. This polish is the second and final glitter in the collection. It's filled with tiny pink glitter and larger holographic pieces. Very pretty and sparkly!

As you can see this polish is definitely more opaque than Last Friday Night. I would actually wear Teenage Dream alone, but it would look great layered too. This was such a pain to remove! Even while using the foil method, I felt like I needed some sandpaper to get the rest off, lol.

Here it is with Black Shatter. Very different, but still girly!

OPI Katy Perry: Last Friday Night

Next up from the Katy Perry Collection is Last Friday Night. This is one of 2 glitters from the collection. It's a light blue base with tiny blue glitter and large silver/iridescent glitter.

This is 3 coats. As you can see it's very sheer. I don't know if I like this polish on the nail by itself. I think this gorgeous glitter would be better suited for layering over another polish. I plan on trying it soon!

Here it is with Black Shatter on top. It creates a nice contrast! I love how pieces of glitter peek through and when they catch the light it's really pretty!

OPI Katy Perry: The One That Got Away

The much anticipated Katy Perry Collection by OPI is finally here. I actually want to wear each polish for a full day, so I will post the next few days about this collection. Today I am wearing The One That Got Away with Black Shatter!

The One That Got Away is a gorgeous raspberry shimmer. It's the darker sister of OPI's Let Me Entertain You. It's not terribly unique, but is a pretty polish nonetheless. Application was flawless, but watch out this polish is a stainer!

This is with one coat of Black Shatter on top. I am really loving this! It's such a fun and easy way to add something different to a mani.
Have any of you tried this? If so, how do you like it?

Zoya Tiffany

Today I have for you Zoya Tiffany from their recent Flame collection. It's a peachy copper polish with lovely gold shimmer.

Then I decided to add some Konad! I have been really lazy lately with the nail art, so I wanted to do something cute! Also, for Christmas I got the Bundle Monster plates and wanted to test them out. I stamped using Konad special polish in white and plate BM16 using the full nail flower image and the matching little flowers. I'm very happy with the way it turned out!

OPI I'm Suzi & I'm a Chocoholic + Extra-Va-Vaganza

Lately, I have been using my polishes from the OPI Swiss collection. This is the first chance I've had to wear them! Today I have I'm Suzi & I'm a Chocoholic.

This polish is a great brown red creme. It's like a brick red. It reminds me of the color of the chocolate river from the original Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory! The application was great and I'm really lovin' this polish!

I wanted to add a little extra oomph, so I made glitter dots with OPI Extra-Va-Vaganza. It looks like jewels encrusted onto some sort of royal tapestry to me. Loves it!

OPI The Color To Watch + Show It and Glow It

Today I have for you The Color To Watch from OPI's Swiss collection. I'll have to admit that when this collection came out this was the color that least interested me. However, I actually really liked it once on the nails!

The Color to Watch is a shimmery pale purple. It has somewhat of an iridescence to it which makes it glow. It goes on pretty sheer, so this is 3 coats.

I then decided I wanted to try a glitter gradient. I decided to use OPI Show It and Glow it which is a pink/purple glitter filled with random colored glitter. The gradient didn't turn out very well because this is such a thick glitter. However, it still looked really cool and girly. I felt like I had dipped my tips into candy sprinkles or something!

Revlon Perplex

Today I have for you the "hottest polish of the season", Revlon Perplex. As we all know this is a blatant dupe of Chanel Paradoxal. I'm glad Revlon did this because no matter how much I love a Chanel nail lacquer I cannot bring myself to spend the money on it. They should create an entire line of expensive polish dupes :-P

Perplex is a gorgeous mushroomy gray with purple tones and shimmer. This polish is very unique! Sometimes it looked purple, other times it looked dark gray. The application was flawless and I actually got many compliments on this! If you can still find it, I would definitely suggest picking this beauty up!

Ok, so 7 things about myself...

5. I have a 3 year old Shih Tzu named Bella. I treat her like she is my real child even though she's a dog.

6. I want to travel the world one day. My top 2 places I want to visit are Paris and Tokyo.

Ok, time to tag! These are some of my favorite blogs:

and of course the three blogs I mentioned at the beginning of this post!

OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous

Lately I have been going through my "never been worn" drawer in my Helmer. This is always fun because I always discover a great new to me polish! Today that polish is Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous from OPI's Swiss collection.

This polish is a pretty gunmetal silver with flecks of silver glitter. It's such a great color! Very unique and sparkly. Application was a breeze and removal wasn't too bad either especially for a polish with glitter.

OPI Ski Teal We Drop

I've been craving a great creme polish lately and OPI Ski Teal We Drop fits the bill!

Ski Teal We Drop is a lovely deep dark teal polish. It appears darker in person and is very elegant! At first I was unsure of it, but once I had it on I loved it!

OPI The Show Must Go On

OPI's recent Burlesque collection was one of great glitters and colors for the season. One of my personal favorites is The Show Must Go On. It's a shimmery pinkish red with flashes of gold.

I really love this polish! It's one of those colors you just can't stop looking at. However, I feel like the flashes of gold are more apparent in the bottle, rather than the nail. Nonetheless, it's still a beautiful color! A bottle of this is included in my upcoming giveaway, so if you love it as much as I do enter now!

Leopard Print Nails

I absolutely adore animal prints, especially leopard. So I wanted to do a flashy leopard print manicure!

I used Orly Luxe as my base. It's a gorgeous high shimmer gold. Very metallic and the closest polish I have found that has that true metal finish. I then stamped the leopard print using Konad plate m57 and Konad special black polish. Then to make it a little more realistic I added some brown in the spots using Misa When U Say My Name and a dotting tool.
Really easy and definitely one of my most favorite manis ever!!

Hello Kitty Beauty Nail Polish - Banana Cream

Recently, Sephora gave us a sneak peak of their exclusive Hello Kitty Beauty line. The line launches in mid January, but they did a pre-sale in December. I was lucky enough to snag a few items. I only got one nail polish (the rest were sold out) in Banana Cream. However, I love anything Hello Kitty, so I was very happy to get just one. The bottle is worth it completely!

Cutest polish bottle ever!!!

Natural light.

Inside with flash.

As you can see the name describes it perfectly. A light creamy banana yellow. Not very unique, but still a cute shade for spring! The application was very good and went on smooth! I'm excited for the rest of the collection to launch, so I can try out some of the cute glitters!

Are you all going to try any of these polishes??

Snowy Nails

Although most of the country is feeling the wrath of winter, here in Texas it is barely even cold outside. I love snow and being in snow, so I figured why not do a snowy nail since I won't be seeing actual snow any time soon!

I used Color Club Pretty In Platinum as my base. I then stamped the snowflakes using Konad plate m59. I used MAC Ming Blue and Orly Lunar Eclipse to stamp my snowflakes. I added some glittery top coat, but unfortunately that doesn't really show up in the picture!

I hope everyone is enjoying their new year so far!

Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips - Laced Up

Happy New Year everyone!! I don't know about you guys, but I am getting so excited for all the new nail products coming out lately!

Today I went to CVS and saw the display for the new Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips. I love any kind of Minx like nail stuff and had to get these. They were buy one get one half off, so I got four. I got 3 different designs and a glitter one. I decided to try Laced Up first!

As you can see it's a nude background with black lace designs. I really love these because they are flexible and stretchy allowing the perfect fit for every nail. These also come with a cuticle stick and a mini file. They were really easy to apply and the edges of my nails didn't feel like I had stickers hanging off the ends. You get 16 decals in a pack for around $10. If your nails are short enough you can use one sticker for two nails. I would 100% recommend these to everyone!!
Have you tried these yet? If so, which designs?

**Update** So, I wore these for 5 days without any "chips" or tears! The box says they last 10 days and perhaps they do. I get bored very quickly with my nails and couldn't wait that long to change them. The wear, ease of use, and cute designs definitely make these worth getting!
