Zoya Shawn + Glitter

Hello everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!
Today I have for you Shawn by Zoya from their 2010 Wicked and Wonderful collection. Shawn is a gorgeous deep forest green creme.

Application was great! This is a very opaque polish and could be worn in just one coat. I did 2 coats because I always do 2 coats no matter what, lol. I really love this polish and it's a very unique green in my collection!

Of course I had to add something to this mani, so I added glitter! I used 2 glitter polishes for this. One coat of Only Gold For Me from Sephora by OPI. This glitter is small gold pieces with medium hexagonal pieces. Then one coat of Chunky Silver by Kleancolor. This glitter is small silver glitter with medium and large hexagonal pieces. I just love those large pieces!
I loved the way this turned out!! I call it my "Glitter Camo" mani!

Barielle Jess' Champagne Toast

Time for a quick post today! This is Jess' Champagne Toast by Barielle. It was part of their Fall '10 collection. It's a lilac foil with pink glitter throughout. I was excited about this polish, but definitely fell short of my expectations.

This color is gorgeous in the bottle, but not so much on the nail. Application was horrible! The polish went on thick and dried with bumps and brush strokes. I hated it so much I took it off that night. I'm a slight perfectionist, so I couldn't handle the bumpy grossness.

As you can see the polish looks SO pretty in the bottle. If only the application were better, this polish would be lovely!

Zoya Lisa

Time to show you all one of the most amazing red polishes ever! Meet Zoya Lisa a gorgeous bright red shimmer from the recent Flame Collection.

Lisa just glows on the nails! It's so bright and shimmery, I just couldn't stop staring. It's electric! Application was amazing like most Zoya polishes! This red is romantic and sexy!

By the way I started a twitter for my blog! Click the icon on the side to follow!

Essie Merino Cool

Today I have for you Merino Cool by Essie. This polish is a fabulous mushroom gray creme.

Application was great and I'm loving the color. It reminds me of clay or the color of a mud mask facial. It's lovely on it's own, but I wanted to add some Konad.

I stamped the image using Bundle Monster plate BM19. I used Color Club Pretty In Platinum as my stamping polish. I love this design! Reminds me of a tribal print or something.

China Glaze Midnight Mission

Today I have for you a simple swatch of a gorgeous color! Midnight Mission is from China Glaze's Fall '10 Vintage Vixen collection. This polish is a dark blue shimmer loaded with silver micro glitter.

Application was great and this is 2 coats. Once this polish was on my nails I was in love! It reminds me of stars in the night sky. The silver shimmer looks amazing against the dark blue. Midnight Mission is definitely a great addition to anyone's collection!

Zoya Kelly + Crackle Glaze

One of the hottest shades of the fall was Zoya Kelly and I'm just now getting around to wearing it! Kelly is a dark charcoal gray creme and is just fabulous!

Application was seriously amazing. It just glided on like silk. I really love this polish! It's a great dark shade that grabs attention.

I happened to receive my order of China Glaze's Crackle Glaze that day and had to use one! I ordered the entire collection and am loving it! For this mani I thought Crushed Candy would look best. The blue is actually darker in real life; more of an aqua and not so baby blue. To achieve this crackle I used a medium coat using vertical strokes on each nail. This polish is a must have for any crackle fans!

China Glaze Ahoy!

Today I have for you Ahoy! from the Spring '11 China Glaze Anchors Away collection. This is a gorgeous hot pink with flecks of matching shimmer.

Application of Ahoy! was flawless. The shimmer is much more apparent in person. I couldn't really get a good photo of the shimmer, but trust me it's there! I have heard talk that this may be similar to China Glaze Strawberry Fields, but in fact they are very different. Strawberry Fields is a lighter pink with a very striking gold shimmer. I would still recommend both of these polishes for everyone's collection!

I was wearing Ahoy! for Valentine's Day and wanted to add something more. I used Nicole by OPI Love Your Life. This polish is a clear base with tiny holographic glitter and large pink heart pieces. Really cute and simple!

Hello Kitty Valentine's Mani

I love Hello Kitty and had the cutest decals that would work perfectly for Valentine's Day!

I started with the Sephora Hello Kitty polish in Frosted Cupcake. It's such a sheer pink that I had to use a white base first, which then turns it into a delicate shimmery pink. I then used these great cupid Hello Kitty decals from the Born Pretty store. I then stamped the hearts using Konad plate M59 and Konad special polish in pink. I then added some red heart rhinestones and voila all finished!

Here is Frosted Cupcake without any decoration. Again this is over a white polish in order to better show the light pink color and shimmer.

Zoya Sweet Valentine's Mani

Here is another Valentine's Day manicure using my favorite pink creme, Sweet by Zoya!

For this design I started with Sweet as my base. Then I stamped the I heart you on my pointer finger and the kissy lips on my ring finger using Bundle Monster plate BM02. I then stamped the Loves on my middle finger using plate BM09. Finally, I stamped the hearts on my pinky with plate BM03. The polishes I used for stamping were Konad special polish in Red for the bright red and Sally Hansen Color Quick Pen in metallic red for the shiny pinkish stamps. I then applied a coat of Seche Vite and finished by adding some small pearls in different spots.

Here is Sweet on its own. This pink is much more blue-toned and brighter than Zoya Barbie, which I used a few posts ago. This is more like Pepto Bismol colored, but I love it!! I just can't get enough of bright bubblegum pink cremes!

Valentine's Polka Dot Mani

Time for another Valentine's Day manicure! I wanted to do something a little more intricate this time!

I started by painting my nails with Zoya LC as my red and Zoya Sweet as my pink. Then I stamped the polka dots using the same Zoya polishes and Bundle Monster plate BM19. Next a layer of Seche Vite! Once dry I used scotch tape to tape off a diagonal section of nail and painted it with the contrasting Zoya shade. Finally, I added a fimo heart to my ring finger and red metallic heart pieces to the others. Finish with a coat of Seche and done!

Zoya Barbie Valentine's Mani

Valentine's Day is only a week away and that means time for Valentine's manis! I love anything pink and girly so this is a fun "holiday" for me! Today I have for you a Valentine's Day manicure using Zoya Barbie.

I used water decals from Viva La Nails. Then added some pink heart rhinestones to accentuate the mani further!

Here is Zoya Barbie on it's own. A perfect pink creme with a very subtle shimmer. It barely shows up on the nail, but you can see it in the bottle. I am obsessed with gorgeous bubblegum pinks, so to me Barbie is pink perfection!

Zoya Edyta

Today I have for you a favorite among Zoya fans, Edyta. This blackened green polish is loaded with golden shimmer.

This polish is such a unique gem! I have nothing like it in my collection. At times it looked gunmetal silver, others deep dark green. I really love the shimmer in it!

OPI Yodel Me On My Cell + Glitter

With the weather getting cold again, I needed a wintry manicure! I decided to use OPI Yodel Me On My Cell. This polish is a shimmery teal blue.

This is a really pretty color! I went to dinner right after doing this mani and the waitress was in love with this polish! It's very eye catching!

I wanted to jazz it up a bit, so I added this blue Hello Kitty glitter I bought from a Sanrio store. The polish has no name, but it's a dark blue base with tiny silver glitter and larger hexagonal pieces. The bottle is really cute too!

I want to remind everyone that my giveaway ends tonight @ 11:59 p.m. So enter while you still can! I will announce the winner in a day or two.
